Opening ceremony proposal for the 1998 Football World Cup

The SOACD (Société de Création et de Diffusion), the Cirque Plume’s producer, was one of the artistic organisations contacted in 1997 by the French Committee for the Organisation of the World Cup 1998 to forward a project for a show at the opening ceremony. Vincent Filiozat, founding member of the Cirque Plume, wrote and sent in a project in keeping with the size of the stadium (Stade de France) and the event : " Le Bonhomme humanité ". Moebius had accepted Vincent Filiozat’s proposition to be a partner in this artistic venture and create the costumes for each of the different " tribes " of dancers.
"Le Bonhomme humanité" was not selected by the Committee.
